Installing the Demo version of Cyrillic The Cyrillic 1.14 Demo Directory should contain the following files: readme.txt (This file) cyrldemo.doc (Demo Guide in Word 6.0 format) cyrldemo.txt (Demo Guide in plain text format) cyrldemo.ps (Demo Guide in PostScript format) cy114dem.exe (Self Extracting Cyrillic Demo) 1. To install the software, first move the self extracting demo file into an empty directory, e.g. c:\cyrillic. 2. Select 'Run...' from the drop-down 'File' menu in Program Manager under Windows. 3. Select the executable 'cy114dem.exe' using the 'Browse...' option else enter the equivalent text at the Command Line, for example, 'c:\cyrillic\cy114dem.exe'. 4. Click OK. Cyrillic will now decompress into the directory created in step 1. 5. Perform step 3 again, this time replacing the executable 'cy114dem.exe' with 'Setup.exe'. 6. When prompted to enter a directory for full installation or in accepting the default, make sure that you have write permission to the chosen drive. 'Setup' creates the program groups and icons required for use with Windows. It is advisable to enter the same directory first created in step 1 in order to avoid unnecessary duplication of files. 7. To run the demo, double click the Cyrillic icon in Program Manager. If you have a PostScript printer you can print a copy of the Demo Guide by entering at the DOS prompt:- print cyrldemo.ps lpt1: Substitute the port to which your printer is connected for lpt1: if necessary. If your printer is not a PostScript one, you should use the plain text version. print cyrldemo.txt lpt1: For more information about Cyrillic or any other of our software packages please contact: Cherwell Scientific Publishing The Magdalen Centre Oxford Science Park Oxford OX4 4GA Tel: +44 (0)1865 784800 Fax: +44 (0)1865 784801 Internet: csp@sable.ox.ac.uk Or in the US: Cherwell Scientific Publishing, Inc 744 San Antonio Rd Palo Alto CA 94303 Tel: (415) 852 0720 Fax: (415) 852 0723
